Position Type: Part-Time | Work Study | Full Academic Year

Position Overview: We are seeking a passionate and dedicated student worker to join our team, working 15-20 hours per week. The ideal candidate will be welcoming, charismatic, and committed to promoting diversity, equity, and belonging across campus. This position offers a valuable opportunity to gain experience in social media management, event programming, office administration, and student engagement while contributing to an environment that promotes diversity, equity, and inclusion.

Key Responsibilities:
 

  • Serve as a friendly and approachable first point of contact for students, staff, and visitors.
  • Assist with planning and executing programs and events that foster inclusion and community engagement.
  • Manage and create content for social media platforms to promote office initiatives and events.
  • Support logistics and coordination of events, including scheduling, setting up venues, and troubleshooting issues.
  • Assist in data collection and feedback analysis using Qualtrics, Google Forms, and other tools.
  • Administrative duties

Skills Required:

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency with social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, etc.) and digital marketing.
  • Experience with event programming and logistics.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, Slides, Drive), and Qualtrics.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • A sense of humor

Compensation:  $9.00/hour, 15-20 hours per week,full academic year
