Student Athletic Trainer

Job Description: 

Students will get the opportunity to work with 9 certified athletic trainers (ATC), 2 team physicians, 23 NCAA Division I varsity sports, and 500+ student-athletes (SA) on a daily basis throughout the year. Students will gain valuable experience in healthcare and the medical field by assisting the athletic training staff with practice and game coverage (including set up, taping, clean up, and treatments), appointment scheduling and patient check in, maintaining cleanliness of athletic training facilities, data entry/filing systems of medical charts, and inventory. Students will need a positive, welcoming, attitude to help others, be motivated, and work hard. This position will help improve and perfect your time management skills. As schedules get changed all the time for various reasons, weather, coaching needs, being a member of the sports medicine staff may make considerable demands of you and your time and may require prompt communication via email, text, and phone

Campus location- Kirby sports center and Metzgar athletic complex

Hours per week : Varies (1-5 hrs)
